about

Many of those who believe in the afterlife say that after you die, if a vision of you takes place you are seen wearing the same clothes that you passed away in. I hope I am wearing a black and white Chanel suit.

I would have to call my style something like "goodwill meets country club chic". I am usually suffering from lower back pains because I rarely wear a heel that is less than two inches.

Whenever possible I tie something around my waist. I always wear jewels and if I cruise into a local dive I flip my rings around to hide the stones.

I do not pretend to like camping.
I take my coffee black.
I love maltises.
I think people should eat chocolate chip pancakes more often for dinner.
I always have my toe nails polished.
I try to a watch a Marilyn Monroe film at least once a year.

One of the most important things my mother ever taught me is always be appropriately over dressed. And obviously I like to make things.

My fashion obsession began early in my grandmother's basement in San Francisco, who my Melvina bag is named after. The moments I spent looking through her stockpiles of fabric sparked a fascination that has yet to fade. I started designing handbags and clothing six years ago. I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, spent summers at Parsons in Manhattan and also spent time studying at the Sorbonne in Paris. Throughout my stays in these various cities I continued to create and design clothing and handbags.

Here I am now, living in Los Angeles and continuing my passion and creation of fashion. My designs are no longer just for my aesthetic pleasure, but for yours too. I cannot wait to share Candice Nicole with all of you.
